* Grove City Police arrested a 28-year-old Grove City woman for possession of drugs after a traffic stop near the intersection of Stringtown Road and Gantz Road at 12:50 a.m. July 27. She was found to be in possession of marijuana and a rock of suspected crack cocaine, police reports said.

* On July 24, a 49 year old Gallipollis woman was arrested for robbery and theft after an incident at 2:37 p.m. in a business in the 1500 block of Stringtown Road. According to reports, a loss-prevention officer at the store was notified by Columbus police detective of a potential shoplifter, and the suspect was seen placing jewelry and other items in her purse and leaving without paying. When the loss-prevention officer tried to stop her, she reportedly shoved him, and then the Columbus detective placed her in handcuffs. Grove City police arrived on the scene, and a search of her vehicle yielded eight syringes, two vials of possible liquid bath salts and a pill bottle with 11 white capsules in it, reports said.

* Following an incident at 7:25 a.m. July 25, a juvenile was arrested for domestic violence and assault in the 2600 block of Bryan Circle. According to reports, the juvenile and her mother were involved in an argument over a cell phone when the mother took the daughter's phone and threw it in a pool. The daughter is reported to have slammed a screen door on her mother's leg, causing scraping, bleeding and bruising. The suspect, who was under house arrest, then left for a friend's house, where she was arrested.

* Between July 20 and July 23, a gold ring valued at $1,500, an earring valued at $100, a wooden plaque with baseball cards valued at $50 and $116 in cash were reported stolen from a residence in the 3800 block of Broadway. There were no signs of forced entry, police reported.

* A business in the 5900 block of Hoover Road was broken into sometime between 8 p.m. July 26 and 8 a.m. July 27. The back door was pried open, causing $400 worth of damage, and a $500 computer was stolen, reports said.

* Someone broke into a residence in the 2600 block of Eugene Avenue through a basement window between July 22 and July 26, and stole copper piping.

* A resident of the 800 block of Scioto Meadow Boulevard reported someone shot at his front window at 2:35 a.m. July 24, causing $350 worth of damage.

* Between noon July 21 and noon July 22, a computer valued at $1,000 was stolen from the 2900 block of Columbus Street, according to reports. The owner reported the computer had been left outside with other items while carpet was being installed.

* An attempted burglary was reported at a residence in the 2600 block of Vi-Lilly Circle West between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. July 24. Someone damaged a window screen in an attempt to remove it, but no entry was achieved, reports said.

* A resident of the 6300 block of Lakeview Drive West reported on July 24, that someone had used her bank card to make $345 worth of fraudulent charges.

* Officers responding to reports of a large outdoors fight in the 4200 block of Kathryn Place about 12:40 a.m. July 24, instead found two females and a male walking, reports said. The females were holding beer cans and determined to be underage. One of the females, an 18-year-old Columbus woman, was issued a citation for underage consumption while the other, a 17-year-old Grove City resident, was arrested for underage consumption and curfew violation.
