Outdoor retailer Cabela's is set to hire 195 new employees to staff its new Polaris location, set to open in spring 2013.

"We are looking for enthusiastic employees who are eager to serve the many loyal Cabela's customers across Ohio and the region," said Jim Daugherty, general manager of the new store, in a written statement. "The ideal candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about the outdoors and enjoys working in the team dynamic."

The new 80,000-square-foot store is located at the northeast corner of Gemini Parkway and Lyra Drive in the Polaris Centers development.

No firm date has been set for a grand opening, but the company is shooting for early spring.

Cabela's sells a wide range of hunting, fishing, camping and boating equipment and apparel.

The Columbus store will feature an indoor faux mountain replica with mounted game animals, a large aquarium, and indoor archery range and a gun museum.
