City of Grove City and Keep Grove City Beautiful, rain barrel workshops for residents of Grove City and Jackson Township only, 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 6, at the Evans Center, 4330 Dudley Ave. Participants learn the importance of water conservation, the benefits of rain barrels and how rain barrels are made and installed. The workshop fee of $50 includes a ready-to-be installed, 60-gallon black rain barrel; participants should be prepared to take it with them. For an additional $10, participants can upgrade to a 60-gallon decorative rain barrel with diverter. Registration is required. Adoption and Foster Care Information Program, 7:30 p.m. April 23, at the Grove City YMCA in conference room A, 3600 Discovery Drive. The program will feature representatives of adoptive families, foster care families, adoption agencies, adoption lawyers, international adoption information and information on caring for those in orphanges in other countries.
