Carriage Court of Grove City, car show, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 29, at the facility, 2320 Sonora Drive. Cost is $5 for adults and $2 for children. Children under 2 are free. Cost will include hot dogs, chip and drinks. There will also be a bounce house and a silent auctions. Make-A-Wish 14th Annual Medical Mutual Columbus Walk for Wishes, 10 a.m. July 13, at Huntington Park and downtown Columbus. Participants can choose either a one- or three-mile walk to help grant wishes for children battling life-threatening medical conditions. A Finish Line Celebration filled with music, food and fun will be held at the conclusion of the walk. Walkers also have the opportunity to meet current and past Wish families. AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program assists unemployed Franklin, Delaware and Licking county workers age 55 and over with securing employment. The program offers paid work experience, specialized training, upgrading of skills and job-search assistance. Age, income and residency requirements apply. Mount Carmel Health System, Walk with a Doc program, 9 a.m. July 6 and 20, Aug. 3 and 17, at the Mount Carmel Grove City Medical Center, 5525 Hoover Road. The walks are free for anyone interested in taking steps to improve their health. A doctor will be on hand to answer any questions and talk with people during the event.
Fit Club, Thursday nights at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3730 Broadway. 6:30 p.m., low-impact/low-intensity workout; 7:30 p.m., high-intensity workout. Bring yoga mat, resistance band and water. Workouts are video-based. Meet in the Our Lady Center gym.
