Captain Timothy Roose of the Defense Supply Center Columbus has been named Associate of the Month.
Roose, of Grove City, was presented the Columbus Associate of the Month Award Aug. 8 by site director Tim Harris.
Roose, who retired from the Army after 23 years of service, is a Grove City High School graduate. He earned his police academy and law enforcement supervisory training through the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
As the police administrative officer for the DSCC Police Department, he recently developed a methodical tracking system for his organization's police equipment, supplies, forms and vehicles. By using computerized forms to maintain and account for all equipment, Roose's system ensures all police officers are equipped with serviceable and well-maintained duty gear.
Roose also maintains the police ticket database and is responsible for ticket appeals, coordinates police officer court dates through the U.S. Magistrate court system and initiates and tracks department work orders.
