Simulator to teach safer driving to students
For the second year in a row, the Grove City Division of Police is partnering with Grove City area schools to educate students using a distracted driving simulator.
The simulator is on loan from the Ohio Department of Transportation through a program called "Every Move You Make." This program is designed to illustrate the dangers of distracted and impaired driving. Students already driving or about to get their driver's license are permitted to drive the simulator.
Sgt. Rick Hardy of the Grove City Division of Police said the program is offered as part of the school's health and social studies classes and provides a realistic display of the dangers of distracted driving in a safe environment.
