Grove City resident Jim Brown, a master blacksmith for 40 years, died Saturday, Dec. 14.
An open house celebration of his life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, at the Eagle pavilion at Fryer Park, 3899 Orders Road.
Brown taught classes at the Augenstein-Spillman Blacksmith Shop in Century Village and was instrumental in the establishment of the historical blacksmith shop, which was dedicated at Old Town Harvest Day Oct. 6.

The family has asked that memorial gifts be made to the Southwest Franklin County Historical Society, 3378-B Park St., Grove City, OH 43123.
