AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program assists unemployed Franklin, Delaware and Licking county workers age 55 and over with securing employment. College Financial Planning Night, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 30, at Grove City High School, 4665 Hoover Road. The workshop will cover eligibility for financial aid and how to find sources of aid. Mount Carmel Health System, Walk with a Doc program, 8:30 a.m. the first and third Saturday of the month through March at the YMCA track. The walks are free for anyone interested in taking steps to improve their health. A doctor will be on hand to answer any questions and talk with people during the event. Medicare Counseling, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month at Wexner Heritage Village, 1151 College Ave. Starting in February, additional sessions will be available from 10 a.m. to noon on the first Wednesday and the third Monday of each month. Enrollment options, prescription drug plans and their benefits, Medicare Advantage plans, financial assistance programs for people with limited incomes and long-term care insurance will be discussed. The free, confidential, one-on-one service is being offered in partnership with the Ohio Department of Insurance's Senior Health Insurance Information Program. Better Body Fitness Boot Camp for Women, one free week of classes offered at various locations and times around Columbus.
