Beautiful Savior Lutheran School, open house, 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 4, at 2213 White Road. The event will feature tours of the facility, refreshments and a chance to talk to the teachers. AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program assists unemployed Franklin, Delaware and Licking county workers age 55 and over with securing employment. The program offers paid work experience, specialized training, upgrading of skills and job-search assistance. Age, income and residency requirements apply. Job Search Success for Seasoned Workers, 7:45 to 9:15 a.m. Feb. 5, at New Directions Career Center, 199 E. Rich St. New Directions Career Center is sponsoring the seminar which is facilitated by a member of the Human Resources Association of Central Ohio. Mount Carmel Health System, Walk with a Doc program, 8:30 a.m. the first and third Saturday of the month through March at the YMCA track. The walks are free for anyone interested in taking steps to improve their health. A doctor will be on hand to answer any questions and talk with people during the event. Medicare Counseling, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month at Wexner Heritage Village, 1151 College Ave. Starting in February, additional sessions will be available from 10 a.m. to noon on the first Wednesday and the third Monday of each month. Enrollment options, prescription drug plans and their benefits, Medicare Advantage plans, financial assistance programs for people with limited incomes and long-term care insurance will be discussed. The free, confidential, one-on-one service is being offered in partnership with the Ohio Department of Insurance's Senior Health Insurance Information Program.
