Grove City man arrested, faces child-porn charges

A Grove City man was arrested and charged April 17, after investigators conducted a child-pornography search warrant at his residence.

According to a news release from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, David Aldstadt, 45, of 2483 Hooverside Lane, was arrested after members of the Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children task force (ICAC) executed the warrant at his residence at 7 a.m.

The warrant was executed after investigators with the task force identified Aldstadt’s residence as a location that child pornography was possessed and distributed via the Internet. Task force members seized numerous computers during the search, along with a collection of foreign-produced DVDs containing numerous movies of pre-teen children naked in various types of performances, according to the news release.

Aldstadt was taken to Franklin County Jail on the charges of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, a second-degree felony. He is employed at Columbus State Community College, where he is supervisor in student advising.
