Individuals interested in developing and sharpening their leadership skills or obtaining greater knowledge about the history and needs of their community are invited to attend the Southwest Community Leadership Program Open House from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept.11, at the Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce, 4069 Broadway.
Attendees will receive information about the 2014-2015 Leadership Program and have the opportunity to meet with program advisers, past participants and community leaders to learn more about the program. Businesses are encouraged to send potential leadership program members to this open house.
The goals of the Southwest Community Leadership Program are to develop leadership skills and educate individuals about the needs and challenges of the Grove City community. The nine-month program, held from October through June, includes monthly three-hour classes held at various locations throughout the community. The 2014-2015 program includes classes on team building, ethics, education, public safety, local government issues and processes and the history of Grove City.
The cost for the program is $300 for Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce members or $375 for non-Chamber members.

The session will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Venue 62, 3995 Broadway.
