The Grove City Area Chamber has redesigned its website in an effort to better serve its members and appeal to the general public.
"It is entirely and completely new," said chamber Executive Director Shawn Conrad. "It's just brighter, cleaner and definitely more user-friendly."
On the chamber website, gcchamber.org, visitors can find membership applications, descriptions of member benefits, listings for different events and a business directory, among other features.
The revamped chamber website was designed by PPA Graphics Inc. of Canal Winchester, based on input from chamber members, Conrad said.
"We spoke with and surveyed our members and tried to find out what they'd want and how our website could benefit them," she said. "We re-did our website so we could better serve our members."
That includes making the website more hands-on, Conrad said. Business members can now more easily upload information about their job postings, discounts and other special deals, events and data they want out to the public.
"Our goal is to have our website filled with our members' attractive information," Conrad said. "So when the community comes, they find value and our driven to our member businesses."
For the general public, the website is designed to be more user friendly to make it easier for people to find what they're looking for.
"Our previous website really wasn't designed for the general public as one of the customers," Conrad said. "We've already had a great response from members and the public."
The chamber intends to promote the website in the coming weeks and at the Alley Music and Arts Festival, set for Sept. 20 and 21.
Conrad said the chamber anticipates traffic to the website spiking into the tens of thousands with the revamp.
