Elise Berry, who completed her third season as the Ready High School girls soccer coach last fall, recently resigned.

The 1998 DeSales graduate said she was "very thankful for the experience" of coaching the Silver Knights but decided to step down because of increasing time commitments with her job.

Berry is the shipping manager and athletic director for the Wellness Forum as well as a certified personal trainer for Doug Owens Fitness and Boxing.

The Wellness Foundation is one of the sponsors of the documentary film, Forks Over Knives, which premieres May 6.

Last fall, the Silver Knights went 7-9-2 overall and 2-2 in the CCL to finish behind co-champions DeSales and Watterson (3-0-1) and ahead of Columbus School for Girls and Hartley (0-3-1 each). Despite having no seniors, Ready hung with top-seeded and eventual Division II district champion Bexley before losing 1-0 in a third-round tournament game. The Silver Knights also played the Lions to a 1-all tie during the regular season.

In Berry's first season in 2008, Ready went 6-5-3 and won a district tournament game for the first time since 2003. The Silver Knights then were district semifinalists and finished 10-4-4 in 2009.

Berry, who played four seasons at Purdue University and then competed for one season for the Columbus Stars of the American W-League, took over a program which had gone 25-55-10 in six seasons under Joe Waldo.
