The Grove City High School boys basketball team avenged an early season loss to Reynoldsburg by defeating the state-ranked Raiders 50-43 on Jan. 18 in an OCC-Ohio Division game.
The Greyhounds outscored the host Raiders 15-6 in the fourth quarter.
Reynoldsburg had won at Grove City 50-46 on Dec. 7.
Reynoldsburg was sixth in last week's Division I state poll behind top-ranked Northland and second-ranked Westerville North.
Junior guard Tyler Dunn scored 21 points in the rematch.
Grove City lost to Westland 71-58 on Jan. 15 at home as Dunn scored 12 points.
Westland also defeated the Greyhounds 92-81 in the championship game of the Tip-Off Classic on Dec. 1 at Grove City.
Comets remain winless in league
Central Crossing enters its home game against Hilliard Davidson on Friday, Jan. 25, looking for its first OCC-Central win.
The Comets are 0-8 in the league. They were 2-13 overall before playing Grove City on Jan. 22.
Central Crossing lost three games last week: to Franklin Heights 48-39 on Jan. 15, to Olentangy Liberty 83-54 on Jan. 18 in a league contest and to St. Charles 74-51 on Jan. 19.
Against Franklin Heights, sophomore Danny Concepcion scored 12 points and sophomore post player Matt Dwane scored 10.
Against Liberty, sophomore guard Andrew Russell scored 12 points. Junior post player Dwight Diggs and junior guard Marc Russell each scored 11.
Against St. Charles, Marc Russell scored 12 points.
