Roble finished ahead of senior Hunter Taylor (50th, 19:03.2), freshman Drew Carmichael (69th, 19:49.5), senior Matt Chamblin (73rd, 19:59.4) and junior Cody Calafatis (82nd, 20:32.1). In a 17-team field, the Comets placed 10th (294 points) behind champion Lancaster (36).

Roble recorded the team's fastest time of the season in the year's first meet, the Canal Winchester Invitational on Aug. 30, running 17:20 on a course much flatter than Lancaster's.

Junior Kristina Myers led the Central Crossing girls with a 27th-place finish (21:50.6), and the Comets were 14th (369) of 15 teams behind champion Upper Arlington (32). Following Myers were freshman Cortny Lutey (78th, 25:38.1), sophomores Sydney Peters (83rd, 26:11.7) and Taylor Bernhard (89th, 27:39.4) and juniors Jessica Stanley (96th, 32:40.9) and Noelle Brown (98th, 38:50.7).

Grove City also competed at Lancaster. The boys finished 11th (315) in the Division I race and the girls were 12th (303).

Three sophomores -- Doug McIntire (31st, 18:30.9), Noah Porter (55th, 19:13.8) and Austin Huff (64th, 19:38.4) -- led the Greyhounds boys, followed by senior Brandon Presley (81st, 20:31.7), junior Alex Meister (84th, 20:36.4), sophomore Alex Caskey (95th, 21:47.8) and freshman Alex Schimmoller (96th, 21:50.3).

McIntire owns the Greyhounds' best time of the season, 17:49.53 in the McGowan Invitational on Sept. 7 at Watkins Memorial.

Freshman Sydney Smith led the Grove City girls at Lancaster with a 32nd-place finish (21:59.5), followed by sophomore Micaila Mountain (38th, 22:34.5), seniors Nayla Morbitzer (74th, 25:14.5) and Alexis Ewing (75th, 25:19.5) and freshman Rachel Hitchcock (87th, 27:05.1).

Smith and Mountain both have paced the Greyhounds twice this year. Smith's 21:33.5 in the McGowan is the team's top time this season.
