During a ceremony Feb. 14, Ready High School recognized several student-athletes who will be competing collegiately.
Bran-den Bailey (Notre Dame College), Zach Jarrett (Capital), Akili Taylor (Navy), Brady Taylor (Ohio State) and Matt Yoho (Morehead State) all will play college football.
Hunter Clanin (Bowling Green) and Jason Foster (Wright State) will play college baseball, and Josh Gantz (Massachusetts-Lowell) will play college basketball.
The football team went 12-2 last fall while making its first state semifinal appearance since 2007.
Akili Taylor (RB) is a west side resident who rushed for 1,992 yards and 27 touchdowns and was named district Offensive Player of the Year and state co-Offensive Player of the Year in Division VI.
Brady Taylor (OL) is a Grove City resident who made first-team all-state.
Yoho (QB) is a west side resident who completed 86 of 148 passes for 1,740 yards with 25 touchdowns and four interceptions.
Bailey (RB/LB) is a west side resident who scored 10 touchdowns and was among the team’s leaders in tackles.
Jarrett, who lives in Grandview, started at right tackle.
Clanin (C) and Foster (P/1B/3B) helped the baseball team go 12-13 last season. Clanin, who lives in Grove City, hit .351 with 22 RBI and was second-team all-district. Foster is a Hilliard resident who batted .366.
Gantz is a Grove City resident who averages about 10 points this season for the boys basketball team.
