The Hilliard Arts Council will present 'Beehive, The 1960's Musical Sensation,' on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 7 and 8 at 8 p.m. and Sunday Nov. 9 at 3 p.m. at Tripleforce Artistic Studios 3979 Parkway Lane in Hilliard.

The Hilliard Arts Council will present 'Beehive, The 1960's Musical Sensation,' on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 7 and 8 at 8 p.m. and Sunday Nov. 9 at 3 p.m. at Tripleforce Artistic Studios 3979 Parkway Lane in Hilliard.

Tickets cost $12 for adults and $10 for students and senior citizens.

Beehive is a high-energy musical revue tracing the coming of age of women's music through 37 pop hits of the girl group and solo singers of the 1960s. The Chiffons, The Supremes, Leslie Gore, and Aretha Franklin are just some of the '60s pop stars portrayed in the show. Musical numbers will include favorites such as "My Boyfriend's Back," "One Fine Day," "Where the Boys Are," "Downtown," "Respect," "Proud Mary" and "Bobby McGee."

The cast features 11 women who will portray the various singers in the production. They include: Joy Bemis, Bridget Jefferson, Mary Ann Carlisle DiPietro, Sue Henderson, Anita Seipel, Lee Weber, Hallie Miller, Sandie Southern, Amy Cava, Caroline Pletcher and Jennifer Painter.

Ken Brenneman is music director. Amy Cava is choreographer and Robin Brenneman is director. Set design is by Ed Daniels.
