Pool membership and swim lesson information is available at the community center or online at www.cityofhilliard.com. Discounted pool memberships are available Jan.15-March 15, 2009.

Community center memberships are available for $15 a year for Hilliard residents and $20 a year for school district residents. A membership is required to participate in Open Gym.

Many new classes are being offered for toddlers and preschoolers such as Let's Have a Ball, Now You're Moving, Magik Bytes Computer Class, Princess Tea Party, Breakfast Buddies, Story Time, Art and more. Call the center for more information.

Registration for Safety Town begins at 6 p.m. Monday, March 9. Join Hilliard's finest police officers, fire fighters and other public service workers for fun lessons on traffic safety, pedestrian safety, animal safety, poison control and stranger danger. Online registration is available for those with a current user name and password.

eBay Sellers 101 will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Hilliard Community Center. The course will be taught by Ted Janusz, an eBay University instructor. The class is ideal for those with little or no previous selling experience. Learn basic eBay and PayPal mechanics. The cost is $30 for Hilliard residents and $35 for school district/non-residents.

Successful Dating will be offered from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20. Susie Hardesty and Elizabeth Cobey-Piper, certified matchmakers and dating coaches, will lead this class. Topics include singles hot spots, the newest trends in dating, Internet sites and utilizing a dating road map to maximize meeting other singles. The cost is $35 for Hilliard residents and $40 for school district/non-residents.

A Flirting with Flirting class will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Jan. 29 and 30. This interactive class provides tips, advice and practice in the skills needed to boost comfort and confidence in social situations. On the second night, participants will practice newly-honed skills at some local flirting-friendly destinations that might surprise you. Dating Directions experts will accompany the class on this real world test run. The cost is $35 for Hilliard residents and $40 for school district/non-residents.

Fitness Blast meets from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays, Jan. 6-Feb. 13. Mix and match workouts with strength, balance, core stability, agility, endurance, cardio and more. The cost is $60 for Hilliard residents and $65 for school district/non-residents.
