Learn about keeping a family records permanent box at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8. This class teaches which important records to keep, how to keep personal family information safe and what records need to be available in an emergency. Cost is $26 for residents and $31 for non-residents.

A baby item garage sale will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Parks and Recreation Department.

Walk the Trick-or-Treat Trail and join in the excitement at the second annual Fall Festival and Music Jamboree, from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park. Admission is free. There will be musical entertainment by Arnette Howard, fall crafts, PT Reptiles, Luke the Juggler, inflatables, face painting, hayrides and more. Food will be available.

Make a posh collar for a pooch, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 24. Class includes materials to make one collar. Students should bring a sewing machine, clear nylon thread with bobbin already wound, scissors, seam ripper and pins. Cost is $21 for residents and $26 for non-residents.

Kids ages 8 to 12 are invited to learn about money at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17. Participants will learn how money is made, how to save money, how to maintain savings and more. Cost is $26 for residents and $31 for non-residents.
