Emily Metzger received a bachelor's degree in integrated science from the University of Findlay at its May 2010 commencement. She is a 2006 Hilliard Davidson High School graduate and the daughter of Elizabeth Metzger-McNabb of Dublin and the late James Metzger.

Two Hilliard residents have been selected to receive endowed scholarships at Ashland University.

Zachary Little received the Jesse Eyman Scholarship. He is the son of Ron and Emily Little and is majoring in marketing.

Alexandra Long received the Marge and Dean McBurney and the Thomas Akkerman scholarships. She is the daughter of John and Donna Long and is majoring in fashion merchandising.

Reece Arthur of Hilliard is student lighting designer for Otterbein College's production of "Dead Man's Cell Phone." The production will be presented April 29-May 1 and May 7-8.

Arthur is a sophomore theatre design major.

Rebecca Fehribach, the daughter of Jerome and Patricia Fehribach of Hilliard, was named to the winter quarter dean's list at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind.

She is a senior majoring in mathematics and economics.

To earn a spot on the list, students must earn at least 3.3 grade-point average.

Hannah Allen of Hilliard graduated from Virginia Tech in December 2009.

Ohio Wesleyan University has announced the recipients of the 2010 Schubert Honors Scholarships.

Hilliard residents receiving scholarships are Carly Dickson, the daughter of Nathan Dixon and Kimberly Farley; Bethany Mann, the daughter of Kellie and Gregory Mann; and Molly McCartt, the daughter of Gwen and Andrew McCartt.

The $18,000 scholarships are awarded to local high school students in recognition of their outstanding academic performance and extracurricular involvement. All scholarship recipients are also accepted into the OWU honors program.

Otterbein College has announced its winter quarter dean's list.

Hilliard residents named to the list were William Ferrall, Samantha Inskeep, Lauren Prossack and Mami Sugita.

Students must maintain a 3.6 GPA to qualify for the list.
