St. James Lutheran Church, 5660 Trabue Road, will host its 27th annual Brats and Crafts Festival Aug. 6-8.

St. James Lutheran Church, 5660 Trabue Road, will host its 27th annual Brats and Crafts Festival Aug. 6-8.

The event will include German food, live polka music, more than 30 craft vendors, children's games and an 1860s-style baseball game.

New to the festival this year, the game will be played at 2 p.m. Saturday, when the Ohio Village Muffins will take on members of the church's softball league.

The Restoration Jazz/German Band will be the featured act both Friday and Saturday nights.

Table fare will include brats, shredded chicken sandwiches, pulled pork, red cabbage, corn on the cob, summer salad, soft pretzels, apple dumplings, peanut butter pie and several other desserts.

The festival concludes Sunday with an outdoor children's Sunday school, a performance by the Columbus Maennerchor and the annual German worship service, to be held at 2:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Admission and parking are free. Proceeds benefit local charities.
