A section of Main Street in Hilliard will be closed from 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, because of construction of the Hilliard triangle project.

The temporary closure will occur north of Grace Street, near the Hilliard Station Sixth Grade School bus-exit driveway and Dairy Queen. Northbound traffic will be detoured onto Grace Street to Madison Street. Southbound traffic will be rerouted onto Madison Street to Grace Street. Dairy Queen will be accessible from Grace Street and from its northernmost driveway on Main Street.

Cemetery Road is expected to open to High School Drive and Lattimer Street on Saturday, Oct. 2, weather permitting.

Through traffic on Cemetery Road at Main Street will remain prohibited for about two weeks. Pedestrians are prohibited from crossing Main Street at Cemetery Road throughout this phase as the contractor will be working in the intersection to complete the roundabout.
