Graveyard Hike, 1 p.m. Sunday at the naturalist's office. Take a four-mile hike to prehistoric Indian and pioneer burial grounds.

Preschoolers: Pretty Leaves, 10 a.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Learn why trees change color in fall and make a leaf craft.

Preschoolers: Ladybug, 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Nature Center. Learn how Ohio's state insects live and get ready for winter.

Glacier Ridge Metro Park

Night Bike Ride, 6:30 p.m. Friday at the bulletin board at the picnic shelter at the main park entrance. Take an 8.5-mile ride through forest and fields.

Evening Horse Ride, 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hyland Croy Staging Area. Ride your horse on the bridle trail and enjoy snacks around the campfire.

Stargazing, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the bulletin board at the picnic shelter at the main park entrance. See the stars through binoculars and telescopes.

Highbanks Metro Park

Metro Parks' Nature Print Contest, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Nature Center. View the photography and cast a vote for People's Choice Award.

Commit To Be Fit Healthy Hike, 1 p.m. Sunday at the Northern Reservable Shelter. Take a 1- or 3.5-mile walk with park rangers.

Annual Halloween Party, 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Pavilion. Join the spirits of Grace and Mary Innis in the gardens and enjoy games that celebrate this holiday.

Slate Run Metro Park

12th Annual Fall Fest: Celebrate Halloween, 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Buzzard's Roost Picnic Area. Learn about creepy critters, make a Halloween craft, try bobbing for hanging apples, play a witch's brew bean-bag toss, do a scavenger hunt and paint a pumpkin. Other activities include a tram ride, archery, live animals from the Ohio Wildlife Center and live music.
