Congressman Stivers, who represents Hilliard in the 15th Congressional District, will talk about his first days "on the hill," comment on current issues and answer audience-submitted questions.

The tragi-comedy 'The Visit' will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday (Jan. 28-29) at Hilliard Davidson High School. Admission is $5.

'The Visit' is by Swiss dramatist Friedrich Dürrenmatt (1921-90). The plot concerns a wealthy woman who offers her home town a chance to get out of debt in exchange for the life of a former lover who disgraced her.

Trace Crawford directs the play. Admission is $5.

Also at 5 p.m. Saturday, the Hilliard Davidson Girls Lacrosse Team will be having their spaghetti dinner and silent auction. Tickets are $7, children 2 and under eat free, and carryout is available.

Four Hilliard leaders and companies were recently named semi-finalists for the TechColumbus annual Innovation Awards.

The Hilliard nominees are:

St. Brendan School, 4475 Dublin Road, is hosting an open house from 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday Feb. 1.

This year, St. Brendan is involved in a pilot program with Ohio Dominican University to promote science education. The program is being financed from a grant to ODU by Battelle Memorial Institute.

St. Brendan was chosen among several Columbus-area Catholic schools, and nine of middle-school students were chosen to conduct research on science projects of their choosing. They will complete written papers, deliver oral reports and make presentation boards of the results. Their projects will be displayed at ODU.
