The Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) provides free information and other health services to people covered by Medicare. An OSHIIP representative is available at the senior center at 1 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month. Call the center to schedule an appointment.

AARP volunteers will be at the senior center during February and March to complete 2010 tax filings for senior citizens. This free program is intended for those with low to middle income. Call 876-0747 for eligibility and scheduling.

The Hilliard Caregiver Support Group meets at 9:30 a.m. on the third Friday of each month. The meeting is for caregivers of those with Alzheimer's disease.

The Happiness Club luncheon, at noon the second Friday of the month, is open to all senior citizens, including those who are not members of the center. Registration for the luncheon is due by 4 p.m. the preceding Tuesday. Meal price is $4. Call to register.

The craft room is open from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Fridays. Artists may bring their own drawings or paintings to work on and meet other artists. Free. Bring supplies.

Various trips are planned for 2011. Day trips will include Roscoe Village, Tecumseh, boating trips, BalletMet, Broadway Across America and more. Overnight and multi-day trips will include a Michigan Resorts Tour, Shipshewana and Opryland Resort. Call the center for more information.

Exercise opportunities are available to members of the senior center, including water aerobics, walking, Tai Chi, general fitness, line dancing, bowling, corn hole and Zumba gold. Classes meet at 3 p.m. Mondays, with a fee of $2 per day.

The center is a collection point for food donations to the Hilliard Welfare Society. Drop off non-perishable donations between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some weekend and evening hours are available. Call to arrange a time.

Introductory computer classes will be offered Wednesday afternoons in February. Learn the basics of internet search engines and browsers, and how to create and edit documents. Call for more information.

Heritage Home Healthcare and Pro Health Partners will provide a free gait and balance screening at the senior center Friday, Feb. 11. Call 876-0747 to schedule an appointment.

A local occupational therapist will visit the center Monday, Feb. 28. The topic will be, "Listening to Your Pain." Register by calling 876-0747.
