She earned bachelor's degrees in early childhood education and intervention specialist education.

Stephanie Drenten of Hilliard recently graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

She earned a bachelor of science degree.

Drenten is the daughter of Robert and Lori Drenten. She plans to pursue a career as an energy engineer with the Bruner Corporation.

The University of Akron has announced its spring 2011 dean's list.

Hilliard residents named to the list were Kaitlin Flanagan, Nicole Gossett Schommer, Steffanie Jones, Michelle Lince and Brian McFarland.

To be eligible for the list, students must earn at least a 3.25 grade-point average.

Emma Pennington, a recent graduate of Hilliard Bradley High School, has won a $1500 scholarship from LaineGabriel.

The scholarship is the first endeavor of LaineGabriel's new Tenfold Initiative.

Pennington will attend the Columbus College of Art & Design, and plans to major in animation. A $150 classroom gift card was awarded to Pennington's high school art teacher, Katie Owens.
