A global company might move a business-services/call center to Hilliard, bringing 500 full-time and 125 part-time jobs to the city next summer.

An additional 300 jobs could be added by the end of 2015.

The unidentified company would move into office space at 5000 Britton Parkway, formerly offices for Verizon Communications Inc., according to Hilliard economic development director David Meeks.

Hilliard City Council's economic and community development committee on Nov. 29 forwarded on to council legislation authority for Meeks to enter into an agreement with the company.

Meeks said the project is not a done deal because the company still needs to finalize details and meet with the Ohio Department of Development's Job Creation Tax Credit Authority on Dec. 5. Meeks said the company can't be identified until then.
