$24K worth of items stolen from Prairie Gardens home

Hilliard police reported items worth $24,800 were stolen at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 14 during a burglary at a residence in the 3100 block of Prairie Gardens Drive.

In other recent incident reports from the Hilliard Division of Police:

* Police reported a fire was set in a trash can at 10:10 a.m. Dec. 11 at Hilliard Memorial Middle School, 5600 Scioto Darby Road. No damage was reported.

* Police arrested a 26-year-old man at 5 p.m. Dec. 10 for drug abuse in the parking lot of a business in the 4600 block of Cemetery Road.

* A 46-year-old man was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 10 for OVI at Fishinger Boulevard and Smiley Road.

* Police reported $200 was stolen at noon Dec. 9 in the 3900 block of Parkway Lane.

* A temporary license plate was reported stolen at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 9 from a vehicle in the 2600 block of Westwind Court.

* Police arrested a 21-year-old man at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 11 for possession of drugs at Lacon Road and Sutphen Court.

* A gas-powered generator was reported stolen at 3 p.m. Dec. 15 from the 5100 block of Longview Drive.

* Police arrested a 22-year-old man at 4:25 a.m. Dec. 12 for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after stopping their vehicle at Scioto Darby Road and Bradford Drive.

* Police arrested a 27-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman at 9:15 p.m. Dec. 9 for theft after the two stole merchandise from a business in the 3800 block of Park Mill Run Drive.

* A purse was reported stolen at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 10 from an unlocked vehicle in the 2900 block of Groff Place. Loss was reported at $753.

* A woman reported a known person assaulted her at 6:15 p.m. Dec. 11 in the 4800 block of Jeannette Road.

* Police arrested an 18-year-old woman at 9 p.m. Dec. 11 for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at Cemetery Road and Interstate 270.

* Two tires were reported cut at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 12 on a vehicle in the 4200 block of Cemetery Road.

* Police arrested a 28-year-old man at 9 a.m. Dec. 13 for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia at Cemetery Road and Parkway Lane.

* A 20-year-old man was arrested at 6:05 p.m. Dec. 13 for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 5000 block of Cemetery Road.

* Police reported a theft at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 13 from a vehicle in the 6300 block of Scioto Darby Road.

* Police reported 100 brake-shoe cores worth $1,200 were stolen at 3:45 p.m. Dec. 13 from a business in the 4300 block of Lyman Drive.

* Vandalism was reported at 10:20 p.m. Dec. 14 at a residence at Hilliard-Rome Road and Hyde Park Drive.

* A mailbox was reported vandalized at 9 p.m. Dec. 15 at a residence in the 4400 block of Heather Ridge Drive.

* Police arrested an 18-year-old man at 6:40 p.m. Dec. 14 for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 4000 block of Main Street.

* A 31-year-old man was arrested at 5:15 p.m. Dec. 15 for possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended license in the 3700 block of Park Mill Run Drive.

* Police arrested a 59-year-old man at 10 p.m. Dec. 13 for OVI at Hilliard-Rome and Tinapple roads.

* Police arrested a 30-year-old woman at 12:50 a.m. Dec. 15 for OVI and traffic violations at Main Street and Interlachen Drive.

* Police arrested a 25-year-old man at 12:30 a.m. Dec. 16 for assault in the 5200 block of Wyandot Place.

Columbus police

* A 39-year-old Hilliard man told Columbus police a person threatened to kill him at 11:55 p.m. Dec. 14 in the 2300 block of Asics Drive.

* Police reported a 50-year-old Galloway man was assaulted and robbed at 10:50 a.m. Dec. 10 in the 1700 block of Hilliard-Rome Road.

The victim told police he was getting into his car when a man ran to him and began punching him while saying, "Let go of them, I have a gun."

The suspect took prescription drugs, including oxycodone tablets, and ran away, police said.
