Davidson to stage ‘The Curious Savage’ this weekend

The Hilliard Davidson High School drama department will present The Curious Savage at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, and Saturday, Feb. 23, at the high school’s performing arts center, 5100 Davidson Road.

General admission tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the box office or online at Showtix4U.com.

All cast and crew members are freshman and sophomores at Davidson High School.

The plot of John Patrick’s comedy centers on a $10 million inheritance, an eclectic group of residents at a psychiatric institution and a handful of greedy relatives.

“(The) Curious Savage is a comedy at its core,” said director Greg Kembitzky. “But there’s a deeper message. The audience will see a definite contrast between the kindness of the residents and the greediness of the stepchildren. You sort of wonder, is it crazier inside the institution or outside of it?”
