Girl Scout Troop 2824 invites Hilliard students in grades K-8 to honor Earth Day by digging through their recycling bins and creating an art sculpture with recycled materials to match the Earth Day theme.

Girl Scout Troop 2824 invites Hilliard students in grades K-8 to honor Earth Day by digging through their recycling bins and creating an art sculpture with recycled materials to match the Earth Day theme.

The competition will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 20, at the Phyllis A. Ernst Hilliard Senior Center 3800 Veterans Memorial Drive. Registration will be open from 10 to 11 a.m.

The first, second and third place entries will receive a trophy. First place will also get a $100 Visa gift card, second place will receive a $20 Visa gift card and finally third place will win a $10 Visa gift-card.

Students can enter by emailing recycledarthilliard@yahoo.com to get official rules and guidelines.

Each original work of art will be judged on creativity/originality, variety of materials and Earth day theme.
