Mental Health America of Franklin County, presentation of The MOMologues, an annual signature event supporting the organization's maternal mental health division, Perinatal Outreach & Encouragement for Moms, 7 p.m. May 10, at the Makoy Center, 5462 Center St., Hilliard. This Boston-based production featuring WOSU's Ann Fisher, AJ Casey and theater veterans Melissa Muguruza and Sonda Staley, is a staged reading about the realities of motherhood. Columbus Spring Avant-Garde Art & Craft Show, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 11, at St. Agatha's Parish Hall, 1860 Northam Road, Upper Arlington. Items include screen printed Columbus pride wear, antique jewelry repurposed into new accessories, handmade pizza cutters and wine bottle lights. Admission is $3, free for children under age 12. Credit Union of Ohio, Hilliard Police, Norwich Fire Department and Nationwide Insurance, Bike Safety Day, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 18, at its Hilliard branch, 5500 Britton Parkway. The event will include activities for children of all ages, including five bike safety stations, fire truck tours, face painting, free food and live music entertainment by the Shazzbots. Bike helmets will be given away to the first 50 children and one free bike will be given away during the event. Goody bags will be given away to all children who visit the bike safety stations. Hilliard Relay for Life, 2 p.m. June 15 through 8 a.m. June 16, at Hilliard Davidson High School, 5100 Hilliard Davidson Road. Teams from area businesses, organizations and schools will walk to raise money for the American Cancer Society and its efforts in cancer research and education. AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program assists unemployed Franklin, Delaware and Licking county workers age 55 and over with securing employment. The program offers paid work experience, specialized training, upgrading of skills and job-search assistance. Age, income and residency requirements apply.
