"Steve was an integral part of the foundation's beginning as he believed in giving back to the community where he had his business and lived," said Libby Gierach, executive director of the Hilliard Area Chamber of Commerce.

More than $360,000 in scholarships have been awarded to Hilliard students during the past 31 years, Gierach said

Craig was also a member of the Franklin County Agricultural Society and a life member of the Northwest Franklin County Historical Society.

Professionally, he was a hearing officer for the Ohio Department of Education and served as a magistrate in Hilliard Mayor's Court and courts in Madison County.
