Hilliard: Officers make string of drug arrests

Hilliard police made numerous drug-related arrests in the past two weeks.

* Police arrested a 51-year-old man for drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia, a 36-year-old man for possession of marijuana and a 24-year-old man for falsification; at 12:35 a.m. Aug. 18 at Cemetery Road and Lyman Drive.

* A woman was arrested for drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia at 9 p.m. Aug. 16 at Cemetery Road and Interstate 270.

* A 20-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and a 21-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 12:10 a.m. Aug. 21 in the 4600 block of Point Pleasant Drive.

* Police arrested a 19-year-old man for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia at 2:15 a.m. Aug. 19 at Leap Road and Anson Drive.

* A 19-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 1:45 p.m. Aug. 17 on Davidson Road near the railroad tracks.

* Police arrested a woman for possession of heroin at 1:40 p.m. Aug. 21 in the 4200 block of Avery Road.

* Police arrested a 37-year-old man for OVI and drug abuse at 4:25 a.m. Aug. 19 at Cemetery Road and I-270.

In other recent incident reports from the Hilliard Division of Police:

* Police reported a burglary at 9:40 a.m. Aug. 21 in the 3600 block of Scarberry Drive. Two televisions were reported stolen.

* Property damage was reported during an attempted breaking and entering Aug. 18 at a business in the 4300 block of Reynolds Drive. Damage to a garage door was estimated at $4,000.

* A burglary was reported at 1:40 a.m. Aug. 21 at a residence in the 4900 block of Berry Leaf Lane. A window screen was cut and a laptop computer was reported stolen.

* Property damage worth $10,000 was reported at noon Aug. 19 at a residence in the 4800 block of Duke Philip Drive.

* Graffiti was reported at 11 p.m. Aug. 20 on the storefront of a business in the 3200 block of Hilliard-Rome Road.

* A vehicle was reported vandalized at 10 p.m. Aug. 18 in the 3800 block of Hilliard-Rome Road.

* A wallet was reported stolen at 11:25 a.m. Aug. 18 in the 3300 block of Mill Meadow Drive.

* Police reported a purse was stolen at 11:30 p.m. Aug. 19 from a vehicle in the 3500 block of Cemetery Road.

* A purse was reported stolen at 6 p.m. Aug. 17 from a vehicle in the 4600 block of Cosgray Road.

* Police reported a laptop computer, cellphone, purse and cosmetics were stolen at 7 p.m. Aug. 19 from an unlocked vehicle in the 4800 block of Leap Court.

* A vehicle was reported vandalized at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 20 in the 4200 block of Cemetery Road.

* Police arrested a 48-year-old man for disorderly conduct at 1:20 a.m. Aug. 20 in the 3600 block of Parkway Lane.

* Police reported a GPS unit was stolen at 11 p.m. Aug. 21 from a vehicle in the 4800 block of Drayton Road.

* A commercial vehicle was reported vandalized at noon Aug. 20 in the 3900 block of Brown Park Drive.
