No students were injured Sept. 5 when a school bus was struck from behind by a vehicle when the bus was stopped at the railroad crossing at Leap Road, just north of Northwest Parkway.
The bus driver was transporting local students who attend St. Brendan School on Dublin Road when the bus was struck at about 3:35 p.m., said Hilliard police officer Mike Deaton.
The students remained on the bus while police responded and district officials notified parents that students would be late arriving home, district spokeswoman Amanda Morris said.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the bus was a 40-year-old woman. She was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
