Students at Hilliard schools will start school earlier in the year and graduate earlier as part of a revision to the 2014-15 calendar school board members approved Sept. 9.
Students were slated to begin the 2014-15 school year Aug. 26, but will now start Aug. 19.
The final day of school was scheduled for June 5, but it's now May 29.
Graduations in 2015 for the district's three high schools were set for June 3 to June 5, but have been moved up to May 27 to May 29.
No other dates changed.
The start and end of spring break, holiday breaks, in-service days and professional-development days remain the same, said district spokeswoman Amanda Morris.
In other action, board members tabled, and referred to its policy review committee, a resolution authorizing the administration to declare as impractical and provide a $250 annual stipend for transportation of a student to an alternate school if the bus route has 20 or fewer students.
