The four candidates for the Hilliard school board on the Nov. 5 ballot have been invited to attend a community forum from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Bradley High School, 2800 Walker Road.
The Hilliard Interschool PTO and League of Women Voters are sponsoring the forum.
The moderator is expected to be David Patton. He will ask the candidates questions submitted on index cards by audience members, but no verbal questions from the audience will be taken, said Kristina Toliver, president of the Hilliard Interschool PTO.
"We want to give everyone in the community a chance to meet the candidates, become an informed voter and make the right decision for our district," Toliver said.
The field for the Nov. 5 election includes three incumbents -- Paul Lambert, Andy Teater and Lisa Whiting -- and challenger Brian Perry.
Teater, 51, is completing his second four-year term on the school board. He currently serves as board president.
Lambert, 59, is completing his first term.
Whiting, 51, is seeking her second full term.
Whiting was appointed to the board in October 2007 and was elected to her first term in 2009.
Perry, 20, is a 2011 graduate of Hilliard Darby High School and currently is studying political science at Capital University.
Early voting for the Nov. 5 general election began Oct. 1.
