Portion of Kenny Road closed in UA
Upper Arlington city officials on Wednesday afternoon said a portion of Kenny Road was closed because of a gas line problem.
At approximately 11:40 a.m. Oct. 9, Upper Arlington city officials said Kenny Road was closed to traffic between West North Broadway and Fishinger Road.
According to a press release from the city, an AEP Ohio crew working in area struck a gas line near the intersection of Kenny and Mansion Way.
Motorists traveling in the area were advised to take the following detours:
•If traveling north on Kenny, either go right (east) on Ackerman Road to Olentangy River Road, where you can continue north, or turn left (west) on Fishinger Road and then right (north) on Tremont Road at Five Points to rejoin Kenny Road by the OSU Golf Course.
•If traveling south on Kenny, turn right on Tremont Road, and then left on Fishinger Road at Five Points.
As of 1:30 p.m. Oct. 9, it was unclear when the roadway would be reopened.
City officials said updates would be provided on the city’s website, www.uaoh.net.
