Burglars strike Subway shop twice in five days

Hilliard police reported a breaking and entering at 3:05 a.m. Oct. 21 at Subway, 4490 Cemetery Road.

The glass front door was broken, causing $400 in damage.

Rolled coins totaling $30 were stolen, police said.

It was second burglary at the shop is as many weeks.

A person broke the glass door in the early morning hours of Oct. 16 and took $195, police said.

In other recent incident reports from the Hilliard Division of Police:

* A man reported a known person assaulted him at 6:25 p.m. Oct. 20 in the 4500 block of Paxton Drive.

* Copper pipe worth $2,000 was reported stolen at 3:15 p.m. Oct. 19 from the 4300 block of Avery Road. A rear door was forced open to gain entry, police said.

* Copper pipes were reported stolen Oct. 23 from the 4200 block of Avery Road.

* Items worth $7,200 were reported stolen at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 23 during a burglary at a residence in the 3600 block of Smiley Road.

Two video-game consoles, a crossbow, two tablets, gift cards and money were reported stolen.

* A door was broken at 10 a.m. Oct. 20 in the 4300 block of Avery Road. No property loss was reported.

* A mailbox was reported vandalized at 8 p.m. Oct. 21 in the 6100 block of Brienne Court.

* Police arrested a 26-year-old woman for possession of a controlled substance at 5:50 p.m. Oct. 19 in the 4000 block of Trueman Boulevard.

* Police arrested a 15-year-old boy for receiving stolen property at 1:25 a.m. Oct. 19 in the 3300 block of Hilliard-Rome Road.

The boy was in possession of a stolen vehicle, police said.

Two other boys, both 14, were charged with truancy.

* Police arrested a 40-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man for theft at 6:40 p.m. Oct. 17 at a store in the 4500 block of Cemetery Road.

* Prescription medication and a cellphone were reported stolen at 9 a.m. Oct. 18 from baggage at a hotel in the 3900 block of Parkway Lane.

* A purse containing wallets, money and credit cards was reported stolen at 11:30 p.m. Oct. 18 in the 4800 block of Bell Ann Road.

Three credit cards were recovered, but loss was reported at $158.

* A laptop computer and PDA were reported stolen at 5 p.m. Oct. 18 from an unlocked vehicle in the 4700 block of Cemetery Road.

* Police arrested a 20-year-old man for possession of drug paraphernalia at 9:25 p.m. Oct. 20 in the 3600 block of Main Street.

* A pistol was reported stolen at 3 p.m. Oct. 21 from a vehicle in the 5600 block of Westbriar Drive.

* Police arrested a 37-year-old woman for assault at 12:15 a.m. Oct. 22 in the 5400 block of Shadow Glen Court.

* Police arrested a 19-year-old woman for possession of drug-abuse instruments at 3:15 p.m. Oct. 24 in the 4100 block of Trueman Boulevard.

* Trash cans were reported stolen Oct. 23 from the 5000 block of Pegasus Court and the 4200 block of Ivy Crest Court.

* Two watches and prescription medication were reported stolen at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 24 from a residence in the 4600 block of Crystal Ball Drive.

* A camera lens and a portable media player were reported stolen at 9:15 p.m. Oct. 22 from the 4600 block of Crystal Ball Drive.
