Members of HOSA-Future Health Professionals, recently received a donation of 45 large pumpkins from Circle S Farms for the annual pumpkin decorating contest at Tolles Career and Technical Center.

The pumpkin decorating contest brings some tricks and treats to the labs at Tolles. Each of the 22 programs received two pumpkins to decorate -- one for the first-year lab and one for the second-year lab.

When the pumpkins were decorated, students and staff could purchase votes for their favorite pumpkin display. The contest generated more than $400. All proceeds were donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The Firefighting I program claimed the first-place title with its "Toy Story" pumpkin display. Coming in at second place was Pre Vet Tech I for a "turkey" pumpkin, and third place went to Nursing II for its "Charlotte's Web" pumpkin.

The pumpkins were given to Hilliard Bradley High School to help decorate for an orchestra concert.
