Hilliard: Officers make five drug-related arrests in past week

Hilliard police officers made several drug-related arrests last week.

* A 33-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 11:50 p.m. Feb. 14 in the 4100 block of Leap Road.

He was released after being issued a summons, according to police.

* A 19-year-old man was arrested for possession of drugs at 6:40 p.m. Feb. 13 at Avery Road and Wallington Drive.

* A 15-year-old girl was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at 10:45 a.m. Feb. 12 at Hilliard Davidson High School, 5100 Davidson Road.

* A 33-year-old woman was arrested for possession of marijuana at 9:25 p.m. Feb. 11 in the 3700 block of Luxair Drive.

She was released after being issued a summons, according to police.

* A 21-year-old man was arrested after police officers found narcotics in his vehicle following a traffic stop at 6:10 p.m. Feb. 9 at Britton Parkway and Anson Drive.

In other recent incident reports from the Hilliard Division of Police:

* Police reported a vehicle was vandalized at 11 p.m. Feb. 14 in the 4600 block of Crystal Clear Drive.

* Tools and a GPS unit, all valued at $7,395, were reported stolen at 4 p.m. Feb. 9 from a commercial vehicle in the 3600 block of Parkway Lane.

* A briefcase and a gift card were reported stolen at 11 p.m. Feb. 14 from a vehicle in the 4600 block of Crystal Ball Drive.

* A laptop computer, DVDs and other items, all worth $3,187, were reported stolen at 10:30 p.m. Feb. 9 from a vehicle in the 3800 block of Park Mill Run Drive.

* Two smartphones and a pair of shoes were reported stolen at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 15 from a locker room at Hilliard Bradley High School, 2800 Walker Road.

* Clothes were reported stolen at 7:25 a.m. Feb. 12 at Hilliard Darby High School, 4200 Leppert Road.

* A woman reported a known person took cash, a cellphone and a laptop computer at 9 p.m. Feb. 8 from a residence in the 5800 block of Darby Hill Lane.

Loss was reported at $1,455, according to the police report.

* Police arrested a 46-year-old man for theft and possession of criminal tools at 4:10 p.m. Feb. 10 in the 4200 block of Trueman Boulevard.

 

Columbus police

Clothing and electronic devices were taken last week from vehicles parked off Hilliard-Rome Road, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Clothes and a tablet device were reported stolen between 9:30 p.m. Feb. 10 and 11:45 a.m. Feb. 11 from a vehicle in the 1800 block of Hilliard-Rome Road.

A laptop computer was reported stolen between 7 and 8 p.m. Feb. 10 from a vehicle in the 1700 block of Hilliard-Rome Road.
