Annual Glo Run slated April 25 at Ridgewood Elementary School

By

The fourth annual Roadrunner Glo Run is scheduled Friday, April 25, at Ridgewood Elementary School, 4237 Dublin Road.

The event benefits the Ridgewood Wellness Committee and SON Ministries.

Three different races will be held, said Sara Shirk, a Ridgewood parent and event volunteer.

A "toddler trot" for children 5 and under will begin at 5:45 p.m. and a 1-mile walk and run for adults and children will begin at 6 p.m.

A 5K run starts at 7 p.m.

All courses depart from the Ridgewood school building and participants will use several residential roads in the Ridgewood subdivision, Shirk said.

According to Hilliard police, officers will direct traffic as runners go along the course, but no roads will be closed outright.

The event includes food trucks, face painting and a live band, The Flannel Sharks.

"About 500 people attended last year's run," Shirk said.

Registration for the 1-mile walk and the 5K run is $15 for participants 18 and under and $20 for adults. There is no fee to participate in the toddler trot.
