Marschhausen taps Snyder for transportation coordinator

The Hilliard school board next week is expected to name a Westerville schools administrator as the district's new transportation coordinator.

Superintendent John Marschhausen said he would recommend the hiring of Randy Snyder to the board May 12. Snyder is the transportation and logistics-management administrator for Westerville City Schools.

Snyder, whose first day would be June 1, would succeed Terry Timlin, who has been Hilliard's transportation coordinator since 2003.

Hilliard board members in March accepted the retirement of Timlin, whose last day with the district is July 3. Timlin supervises the routes of 127 buses that travel 8,800 miles each day and transports 8,434 students to 24 buildings, according to the district.

Snyder would work with Timlin for about a month, Marschhausen said.

Also at the May 12 meeting, Chris Ludban will be recommended as the new athletics director at Bradley High School.

Ludban was most recently the athletics coordinator for Darby High School and Heritage Middle School.

He would begin his new position Aug. 1.

Ludban's hiring would leave an opening for an athletics coordinator for Darby High School and Heritage Middle School.

The board is expected to consider the recommendations for hiring Snyder and Ludban at 5 p.m. Monday, May 12, at Brown Elementary School, 2494 Walker Road.

The meeting is being held two hours earlier than the usual 7 p.m. start time to allow district administrators to attend another event.
