The Hilliard school board on June 9 approved a contract renewal of $340,000 with Aramark to continue providing food service to the district.
Every five years the district is required to solicit bids for the service, said Jeff Franklin, business director for Hilliard City Schools, but no other vendors submitted a bid this year.
"We have a good relationship," Franklin said.
Aramark has provided food service to Hilliard schools for the past 14 years.
The $340,000 contract is for the 2014-15 school year and it represents a 2 percent increase compared to last year, said district spokeswoman Amanda Morris.
The contract includes an option of four consecutive one-year contract renewals, Franklin said.
