Lisa Cady has resigned after three seasons as coach of the Hilliard Davidson High School girls basketball team.

The Wildcats were 43-22 during her tenure.

Cady told athletics director Mark Princehorn of her decision April 15, just seven days after the birth of her son, Damon.

Robb and Lisa Cady have two other children in Trey, 4, and Tyson, 3.

"I wanted to spend more time with my kids and family," Lisa Cady said. "I have a great husband who is capable of handling everything if I wanted to keep coaching, but our kids will only be young once and you can coach your whole life."

Cady told her players on April 19.

"It wasn't surprising because she has three kids and a new baby," junior forward Sam Bradway said. "We were really sad to see her go, but we were all prepared for it and understand why she's leaving. Whoever the next coach is, we want them to be fair, know the game and be passionate about Davidson basketball."

Princehorn said a committee is in the process of reviewing resumes. The committee will interview candidates in late May with a new coach named in early June.
