Hilliard Darby High School senior JeVaughn White signed a letter of intent Feb. 1 to play football for Ohio Dominican University.

A middle linebacker, White had a team-leading 26 tackles and 1.5 sacks while helping the Panthers get out to a 3-0 start last season before tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the fourth game.

Despite missing the final six games, he was named honorable mention all-OCC-Central Division as the Panthers finished 7-3 overall and 4-3 in the league.

“JeVaughn was showing a lot of improvement in the games he played his senior year before he got hurt,” Darby coach John Santagata said. “He’s worked hard in the classroom to maintain a 3.6 grade-point average and he’s worked hard to rehab his knee. His work ethic will give him a good opportunity to earn some playing time in college.”
