After losing 45-39 to Dublin Scioto in an OCC-Cardinal Division game Jan. 8, the Hilliard Bradley High School girls basketball team bounced back to beat Hilliard Darby 39-35 on Jan. 10.
The Jaguars are 5-3 in the league and play Friday, Jan. 18, at Dublin Jerome. They defeated the Celtics 51-40 on Dec. 7 in the first round of league play.
The Jaguars entered the week tied with Jerome for third in the OCC-Cardinal behind Westerville North (8-0) and Scioto (6-2).
They were 6-7 overall before playing Olentangy Liberty on Jan. 15.
Sophomore forward Meredith Miller scored nine points and senior guard Feaira Crews added eight against Darby.
Against Scioto, Miller led the Jaguars with 15 points and junior guard Jenna Fodor scored 11.
Bradley boys fall to Darby
Freshman point guard Brandon Glenn's 16 points weren't enough to prevent a 51-39 loss to Darby on Jan. 11, as the boys team dropped its second consecutive game after winning its first.
The Jaguars, who are 1-12 overall and 0-7 in the OCC-Cardinal, play host to Jerome on Friday, Jan. 18. Jerome won 69-42 in the first round of league play Dec. 7.
Bradley defeated Teays Valley 60-51 on Jan. 5 but fell to Scioto 73-51 on Jan. 8.
The Jaguars are averaging 41.2 points and allowing 58.9 per game. Their point total against Teays Valley was their highest, and the only other time they scored more than 44 was against Scioto.
