The Hilliard Davidson High School girls swimming and diving team finished first in six events en route to winning the Hilliard Invitational.
The Wildcats scored 53 points Feb. 2 at Hilliard YMCA to finish ahead of Darby (29), Jonathan Alder (2) and Bradley (0).
Finishing first for Davidson were Megan Wittman in the 100-yard freestyle (57.25 seconds), Lauren Erdman in the 200 individual medley (2:32.79), Megan Schmalenberger in the 100 butterfly (1:02.65) and Felicia Fantin in the 100 backstroke (1:07.26) as well as the 200 medley (2:00.56) and 200 free (1:50.65) relays.
Winning for Darby were Mackenzie Caruthers in the 50 free (26.24) and 100 breaststroke (1:13.48) and Olivia Wile in the 200 free (2:09.95).
Blake Dickmann and Hunter Cook both won two individual events to lead the Darby boys team to the Hilliard Invitational championship.
The Panthers scored 62 points, finishing well ahead of Davidson (13) and Bradley (8).
Dickmann won the 100 fly (57.11) and 200 free (1:51.65) and Cook finished first in the 200 IM (2:00.05) and 100 breast (1:04.45). Also winning for Darby were Max Dignan in the 100 back (1:03.57), the 200 medley relay (1:52.07) and the 200 free relay (1:35.76).
Jon Satre won two events for Bradley, finishing first in the 50 free (23.42) and 100 free (50.4). Davidson did not win any events.
All three Hilliard schools will compete in the Division I sectional meet Saturday, Feb. 9, at Union County YMCA in Marysville.
The winner of each event qualifies for the district meet Feb. 16 at Ohio State. In addition, 27 at-large district berths will be awarded in each event based on times from the Central, East and Southeast sectional sites. Divers do not compete until the district meet.
