Pitcher and infielder Jacob Chrysler has been leading the Hilliard Davidson High School baseball team on the mound and at the plate.
Through 17 games, the senior had a 1.39 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 29 innings and had one save. At the plate, he was batting .439 with 19 RBI, 14 runs, two home runs, eight doubles, one triple and a .507 on-base percentage.
Infielder/outfielder Collin Dickey was batting .381 with a .481 on-base percentage, 12 RBI, seven runs, five doubles and two triples. Outfielder Scottie Munson was hitting .341 with a .449 on-base percentage, 12 runs, two doubles and five RBI and second baseman Chris Keck was hitting .295 with five doubles, 15 runs and six RBI and had only two strikeouts in 73 plate appearances.
Green, Chetock among leaders for Panthers
Nate Green has been leading Darby on the mound this season.
Through 15 games, the junior was 4-0 with a 0.44 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 31 2/3 innings. Opponents were hitting only .094 against him.
Senior infielder Jake Chetock was among the offensive leaders for Panthers. Through 15 games, he had a .390 batting average with 13 runs, 12 stolen bases and four RBI.
Catcher/infielder Stephan Hernon was batting .340 with seven runs and 15 RBI , Green was hitting .333 with nine runs, six doubles and 13 RBI, outfielder Chris Ramsey was batting .327 with 10 runs, 11 RBI, four doubles, three triples and five stolen bases, infielder Connor Holdren was hitting .304 with 13 runs and seven RBI and infielder Chase Longwell was batting .300 with 13 runs and seven RBI.
Also on the mound, Tyler Green was 1-1 and had allowed no earned runs. He had 11 strikeouts in 11 innings and opponents were hitting only .111 against him.
