The Hilliard Bradley High School boys golf team placed fifth in the final OCC-Cardinal Division standings.
The Jaguars went 10-18 in the four-round league tournament to finish behind two-time defending Division I state champion Dublin Jerome (27-1), Westerville Central (25-3), Westerville South (18-10) and Dublin Scioto (14-14) and ahead of Darby (9-19), Westerville North (9-19) and Canal Winchester (0-28).
Bradley shot a 334 in the final round Sept. 11 at Darby Creek, finishing fifth behind Central (300), Jerome (300), South (327) and Scioto (332) and ahead of Darby (346), North (351) and Canal Winchester (433).
Central won the first-place tiebreaker with Jerome in the round for having a lower fifth-player score.
Cody Storch and Damon Birkhead each shot an 81 to lead Bradley and Noah Fernandez carded an 82.
The Jaguars finished 11th (352) in the 14-team Hickory Hills Invitational on Sept. 14, behind champion Gahanna (317).
Bradley is seeded 25th of 39 teams in the district in Division I and will compete in the 13-team sectional Oct. 1 at Darby Creek. Among the other teams competing at the site are third-seeded Dublin Coffman, fourth-seeded New Albany and ninth-seeded Olentangy Liberty.
Delaney leads Darby in final OCC round
Sean Delaney carded an 80 in the final round of the OCC-Cardinal tournament to lead Darby, which finished sixth.
Also competing for the Panthers were Alex Herman (86), Ethan West (89), Jordan Coppess (90) and C.J. Martin (90).
Darby, which tied Westerville North for sixth in the final league standings, shot a 352 in the Hickory Hills Invitational to finish 10th. Bradley also carded a 352 but lost the tiebreaker on the fifth-player score.
The Panthers are seeded 28th in the district in Division I and will compete in the 13-team sectional at Turnberry. Among the other teams at the site are top-seeded Pickerington North, seventh-seeded Olentangy and eighth-seeded Mount Vernon.
Davidson places fifth in OCC-Central
Davidson finished fifth in the final OCC-Central standings.
The Wildcats went 13-15 in the league tournament to finish behind Coffman (28-0), Upper Arlington (23-5), Liberty (19-9) and Marysville (15-13) and ahead of Thomas Worthington (10-18), Central Crossing (4-24) and Westland (0-28).
Jack Rubin carded a 79 in the fourth and final round Sept. 16 at Turnberry to lead Davidson, which shot a 322 to place third behind Coffman (302) and UA (304) and ahead of fourth-place Marysville (325).
Also competing for the Wildcats were Josh Adkins (81), Jacob Newton (81), Nick Schad (81) and Josh Stimmel (83).
The final round had been scheduled for Sept. 11 but was postponed because of bad weather.
Davidson is seeded 14th in the district in Division I and will compete in the sectional at Turnberry.
