The Hilliard Bradley High School girls basketball team will be looking to remain in the race for the OCC-Cardinal Division championship when it travels to Westerville North on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

The Jaguars entered the week 13-4 overall and 8-2 in the OCC-Cardinal with four league games to play. They were second in the league behind North (9-0) and ahead of Dublin Jerome (5-3), Westerville Central (6-4), Westerville South (5-5), Canal Winchester (4-6), Dublin Scioto (1-9) and Darby (0-9).

Bradley lost to Westerville North 47-38 on Jan. 3, and a second loss to the Warriors or a loss Friday, Jan. 31, at home against Canal Winchester would all but end its league title hopes. The Jaguars defeated Canal Winchester 45-37 on Dec. 20.

Meredith Miller had 18 points and Ashley Hummel scored 16 to lead Bradley to a 45-42 win over Delaware on Jan. 21. The Jaguars trailed 23-13 at halftime and 34-29 after three quarters.

Bradley defeated Westerville South 41-29 on Jan. 24 in a league game as Grace Fodor scored 13 points and Shelby Haworth added 11.

Edler, Friedman leadWildcats to victories

Davidson won just one of its first 15 games before posting consecutive victories.

The Wildcats defeated host Central Crossing 47-31 in an OCC-Central game Jan. 24 behind 20 points from Cambree Friedman and 15 points from Lea Edler. The game tied at 17 at halftime, but the Wildcats seized control in the third quarter, outscoring the Comets 14-2.

Davidson beat host Darby 44-32 on Jan. 25, outscoring the Panthers 13-6 in the fourth quarter, with eight points coming at the free-throw line. Edler had a team-high 11 points and Friedman scored 10.

The Wildcats were 3-14 overall and 1-9 in the OCC-Central before playing Westland on Jan. 29.

Darby entered the week 0-16 overall and 0-9 in the OCC-Cardinal.

The Panthers lost to Jerome 43-35 in a league game Jan. 24 before falling to Davidson the next day. Jessica Cox had 12 points and Caitlin Snyder scored six against Davidson.
